Villa Vanda dates back to the 600’s, situated close to a small medieval hamlet, only a few kilometres from the commune of Castiglion del Lago and Montepulciano, which is on the Trasimeno rolling hills, bordering Valdichiana. The villa was originally built for Napoleone Bonaparte’s grandchildren, has recently been restored to its antique splendour. The architecture of the villa, the prestigious furnishings, the panoramic tower, antique chapel (which is still consecrated), and the splendid park ensures that Villa Vanda is a true paradise for those who desire peace and quiet. Nature lovers can make the most of daily excursions in the natural oasis of the Lake of Montepulciano and Lake of Trasimeno, whereas for art lovers only a few kilometres away are the well known historical centres such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Chiusi, Cortona not to mention close by there unforgettable cites like Siena, Florence, Perugia and Roma. In one section of the property on the ground floor lives the caretakers, a young couple who whilst being extremely reserved they are responsible for the cleaning of the property and the maintenance of the garden and pool and will completely respect guests privacy.

PARK: Villa Vanda is surrounded by one hectare of park, enriched with vegetation, lavender bushes, ornamental trees, fruit trees and a small green house where a small vegetable garden is cultivated. Externally there is also a wisteria pergola which is quipped with table and chairs ideal for a pleasurable breakfast or lunch in the shade.

SWIMMING POOL: the swimming pool is open all year round, during the winter months from the pool will be heated and can be accessed directly from inside the villa. The pool measures 14 x 6 m with a variable depth from 1.10 to 2,40 m. The room in front of the pool is well equipped with changing room, shower and bathroom. The pool area is surrounded in “cotto” flooring, beautiful lawns and comfortable sun loungers, umbrellas, table and chairs.

INTERIORS: the property presents itself with two impressive marble staircases which lead to the first floor, and the main entrance door. The entrance leads into a marvellous living room area with fireplace, sofa’s and dining room. On the left there is walk in wardrobe and studio. On the right there is a service bathroom, kitchen (from where you can walk onto a splendid terrace), a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath tub. On this floor there is an internal staircase that leads to the second floor. On this floor there three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with showers, a large walk in wardrobe, a small fully equipped kitchen with table and chairs for six people. From this floor, one can access the tower via a wooden spiral staircase, where there is a small conservatory (glass) studio. The ground floor which has direct access to the enchanting park is made up of one double bedroom, bathroom with hydro massage shower, an immense living room divided into: games room (billiards), living room with fireplace, and dining room with kitchen, from this floor down a few steps, one can access the swimming pool room. Also on this floor there is a small consecrated chapel. This property has a lift which goes from the ground floor up to the tower.

SERVICES INCLUDED: electricity, water, gas for cooking purposes, weekly linen, daily cleaning, park and pool maintenance.

SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): Extra cleaning (€ 15,00/hour), extra linen (€ 10,00/person), telephone (based on meter reading), heating (€ 500,00 per week), heated swimming pool (€ 500,00 per week), wood (€ 15,00/100 kg).
