Villa Rizzo 12 is a beautiful modern style building located in Fagotto about 7 km from the centre of Piazza Armerina, well known for the archaeological area of Villa Romana del Casale and for the beautiful churches. The building is at the top of a hill that overlooks a large estate which includes another house belonging to the same owner and in which he sometimes stays using at intervals the pool. The beauty of the surrounding countryside and the characteristic villages nearby allow guests to enjoy a quiet, relaxing and cultural holiday and the villa’s ventilated position ensures a pleasant breeze during the summer evenings. The two-storey octagonal shaped building has been painted in the traditional pale pink of the houses of the Sicilian countryside. Two ramps of steps crossing a beautiful terraced garden lead to the beautiful swimming pool below the house in front of the main entrance. The interior is a mixture of modern country style and classical Sicilian style and reflects the personality of the owner. The walls are all in light coloured Venetian plaster and a central light well provides light throughout the day. Behind the villa is a large terraced area suitable for barbecues and outdoor dining whilst a small riding ring off to the side provides guests with the possibility of riding the horses belonging to the estate.

PARK: the property surrounding the villa is about 10 hectares. and is enclosed by a wooden fence. The main gate is made of iron and is opened electronically whilst a second sliding electric iron gate is used only as a tradesmen’s entrance. A lighted and paved driveway of about 500 m. leads up to the villa. The land is cultivated mainly with rows of characteristic olive trees and prickly pears. Guests can go for walks along the small dirt road that runs through the property and which leads to a small orchard.

SWIMMING POOL: a rectangular infinity pool with diving board has been built beside the villa, measuring 6 m. x 13 m. with a depth varying from 1 m. to 2,80 m. The surrounding area is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. The pool is open from April 28th to October 6th.

INTERIORS: Villa A: the main entrance leads to the ground floor where a large living room with a small sitting area on the right and the dining area on the left which leads on to the large country style kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all electric appliances and is suitable for breakfast. On the ground floor is also a cozy TV room, a service bathroom and a laundry room. Two flights of stairs lead to the night zone on the top floor. On this floor there are 3 double bedrooms (all with attic roof), one of which with en suite bathroom with shower, another bathroom with Jacuzzi shower and a large terrace overlooking the countryside. Villa B: the entrance is situated under a patio furnished with table and chairs. The villa, developed on one floor, has dining/living room, fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms with shower, 1 half bath and a laundry room. A staircase leads up to a relax area mezzanine right over the main double bedroom.

SERVICES INCLUDED: water, gas, house cleaning at beginning and end of stay, weekly linen, pool and park maintenance.

COMPULSORY SERVICES NOT INCLUDED (supplied and to be paid locally to the owner): electricity (on consumption up to date market prices).

SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): extra cleaning (€ 12,00/hour), extra linen (€ 15,00/person), heating (on consumption up to date market prices), use of riding ring, telephone.
