Limoncello is in Forio d’Ischia, the world famous spa island that has attracted people since ancient times thanks to its fertile soil and hot water whose therapeutic results were considered magic. The Greeks and Romans appreciated the benefits of these springs that healed body and spirit. In the eighteenth century the baths became well known world-wide and Ischia became one of the principal destinations for travellers. The list of important V.I.P.’s who have stayed here is infinite: Elizabeth Taylor, Sofia Loren, Aristotle Onassis, William Walton. The latter, owner of Villa La Mortella located in Zaro, the most suggestive part of Ischia, created in 1956 a garden containing more than 1000 species of rare plants which today is open to the public. Forio is the largest municipality on the island and the most important cultural centre. There are numerous beaches and bays around Forio. The hills of Mount Epomeo are covered in vineyards producing excellent DOC wine. Our villa is a modern building near La Mortella Gardens. The building has two wings and a central tower. Great detail has been paid to the furnishings with antique pieces mainly in bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathrooms have elegant finishing touches. The house is airy and full of light. The various terraces are the ideal place to relax and enjoy the warm Mediterranean sun and the swimming pool with the whirlpool tub is the ideal place to enjoy good company with a glass of local wine.

PARK: the house has a garden of 900 square metres with olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation.

SWIMMING POOL: open from April 28th until October 6th, the irregular shaped pool, 5 x 5 m and 1,40 m deep, has a waterfall and whirlpool tub.

INTERIORS: ground floor, the main entrance leads to the living room with fireplace, sofas and dining table. To the right of the entrance is the kitchen leading out to a lovely terrace with table and barbecue/spit and pizza oven, a double bedroom, a bathroom with whirlpool tub, laundry and small bathroom. First floor, 1 twin bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and a double bedroom and bathroom with whirlpool tub. Second floor (tower), double bedroom with bathroom (shower). The house has many terraces, one of which has a 360° view overlooking Forio d’Ischia. The floors have wood flooring in the bedrooms and tiles in the living zone. All the windows have mosquito screens and double glazing to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter.

SERVICES INCLUDED: water, weekly linen, initial cleaning , park and pool maintenance, wood oven, jacuzzi tub.

COMPULSORY SERVICES NOT INCLUDED (supplied and to be paid locally to the owner): gas, final cleaning (€ 200,00), electricity (on consumption up to date market prices).

SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): extra cleaning (€ 10,00/hour), extra linen (€ 10,00/person), heating € 4,80/m³ - € 1,50/l.
