Il Borghetto is a delightful little house with annex suitable for those wishing to spend a relaxing holiday within distance of interesting art centres. Il Borghetto is located near the little village Corbara which gives its name to the nearby lake. As can be guessed from the name of the house (Borghetto = small district), it is part of a property containing 4 buildings: the owner’s house, a private chapel and the house with its annex, both with completely independent entrances at the guests’ disposition in a part of the property where they can enjoy maximum privacy. Bordering on to some of the most well known vineyards of Umbria it is also in a strategic position for making tourist and gastronomic excursions in Umbria and neighbouring Tuscany. Il Borghetto has been recently renovated, respecting the classical criteria of the farmhouses of the area with open face stone, ceilings with wooden beams and brick tiles and floors made with local tiles. The two storey house is simply but tastefully furnished, all the windows have mosquito screens except the French windows and has an annex close by composed of a double bedroom, a well stocked library and a bathroom with shower.

PARK: The garden consists mainly of lawn, personally maintained by the owners, with areas of shade provided by large trees. A wooden bridge near the house leads to the swimming pool. There are also animals such as horses, dogs, peacocks and geese, all, however, penned far enough away so as not to disturb the privacy of the clients.

SWIMMING POOL: The swimming pool is located on the other side of the stream flowing through the property. It is reached by a characteristic wooden bridge. The pool measures 5 x 10 m. and the depth varies from 1,20 to 1,80 m. The area around the pool is equipped with sun umbrellas, deckchairs and outside shower all at the guests’ disposition. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.

INTERIORS: Il Borghetto is reached by steps leading from an iron gate up to the front entrance. The house has two floors. The front door leads into the kitchen, functionally furnished with all electrical appliances and working fireplace. An archway leads through to the sitting room with LCD TV and divans and to the luminous dining room with working fireplace which leads out through the French window to the portico where guests can partake of outdoor meals. A bathroom with shower is also to be found on the ground floor. A tiled staircase leads from the sitting room up to the top floor with two bedrooms, a double one with TV and en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and one with queen size bed. Annex: situated 5 m. from the main house, 5 steps lead down to it. It is composed of a double bedroom with a splendid library-wall and a large bathroom with shower. All the windows, except the French windows, have mosquito screens.

SERVICES INCLUDED: Water, electricity, gas for kitchen use, weekly linen, initial and final cleaning, 1 wash of washing machine, pool and park maintenance.

SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): Extra cleaning (€ 15,00/hour), linen change (€ 10,00/person), heating (€ 18,00/day), wood (€ 15,00/100 kg), washing machine (€ 5,00/wasy).
